Claiborne Mardre and Allen J. Inglesby, both of Greenville founded the company in 1967 with one thing in mind – to provide extraordinary customer service at a fair price in the field of compressed air, steam applications and controls to customers in South Carolina and Augusta GA. Today I&M has over 30 employees, is still family owned and is one of the most successful air compressor distributors in the Southeast.
Today, Allen Inglesby serves as Chairman/CEO and Tom Mardre, son of Claiborne Mardre, serves as President. Located in the former Donaldson Air Force Base, now SC-TAC, I&M has been a fixture in the industrial complex for 50 years. Allen Inglesby served on the board of the Donaldson Development Commission for more than 30 years and is now Chairman Emeretus.
Specializing in the compressed air industry, I&M offers engineered solutions for manufacturing companies through design/build, compressed air auditing, rental compressors and service. Over the years the company has grown to specialize in other areas to meet its customer’s needs. Today I&M represents more than 50 companies that manufacture not only compressed air equipment but process gauges, pressure switches, solenoid valves, pumps, tube fittings, aluminum pipe and more.
