A jack of all trades, Bob St. Clair spent his earlier years learning a multitude of skills that would last him a lifetime. Some of his fondest memories go back to an adolescence spent in his uncle’s Automatic Transmission Shop learning how to get his hands dirty and work on all things mechanical. This propensity for hard work led him into jobs in every field. Bob has worked as a grocery clerk, ditch digger, truck driver, roofer, mill worker, lab technician, and mechanic. Eventually he landed on work in the compressed air industry in 1980 and it became his career home. It was also in 1980 that Bob began his work with the Gardner Denver product line and became an expert as he still works with them today.
In 1996, Bob came to work for us at I&M Industrials. He has made a career to be proud of here and is a tremendous asset as a Compressor Parts Manager. Over the years he has gained himself a nickname that shows his value as an employee and customer advocate. What began as a joke and a play off of the “Dilbert” cartoon strip has now become his moniker. “Awesome Bob” is his email sign off and how customers have come to know him.
When not working to be his awesome self in the office, Bob can be found in the salt and sun on the beach or in his bass boat. His life goal is to win the big lotto jackpot someday so he came make his forever home in the sand among the waves.
