After graduating from Easley High School in 1981, Billy Shelton ventured out in the adult world working various jobs to make a living. By 1989 he had secured his first position with I&M Industrials as a shipping and receiving clerk. This proved to be just a starting point for a long career as Billy soon made moves upward as an employee. By 1991 he was working in inside sales showing yet another aspect of his skill in the industry. In 1997 Billy became certified by Automatic Switch Company as a Solenoid Valve Specialist which then was followed by a move into management as Inside Sales and Purchasing Manager. In the next nearly 20 years he has cemented himself as a pillar in the company and valued gift to his coworkers and customers.
In his personal life Billy was proud to marry his wife Sandy in 1994. Together they built a family and welcomed into the world their two sons, Will and Eric. Over the years they have continued to enjoy their life together and plan for many more happy years ahead of them. Billy has also invested his time and love for life into coaching local youth recreation league basketball and baseball for children aged 10 and under. This service to his community has given him much joy and as a supplement to his life and spiritual devotion, Billy has enjoyed membership in the Tabor United Methodist Church with his family. He has served them in his attendance and through his service as Sunday School Superintendent and Church Council Chairperson.
