In 1995, Clay Mardre began studying Business Administration at the College of Charleston. After four years he was ready to join the professional workforce and, in 2000, landed a position as Commercial Sales Representative at Consolidated Tires, Inc. After gaining four years of experience with this employer, Clay then secured a Territory Sales Representative position with the company known today as Republic Services. He focused on their industrial accounts for the next three years and further built his skill base. The next step in his career path was a five year Industrial Broker position with the local commercial real estate firm NAI Earle Furman, LLC.
It was following this job that Clay made his way to I&M Industrials in 2011. Since joining our ranks he has worked in sales and as a Compressed Air Auditor, Service Manager, and Vice President. He also holds certifications in through the Compressed Air Challenge and Blueprints for Managers. Overall, he has brought tremendous value to the company and inspired a new way of looking at our business and the industry as a whole. With five years in the compressed air industry and 16 years in industrial sales and services, Clay has a unique perspective that has invigorated business and customer relations at I&M.
Outside of work, Clay has accomplished great things as well. He is an avid outdoors man who participated in and graduated from the National Outdoor Leadership School in 1998. He has presided over the Greenville Saltwater Sport Fishing Club as president and is a board member for the Coastal Conservation Association Upstate Chapter. He enjoys playing golf, hunting, saltwater fishing and any activity that puts him in the great outdoors, but his grandest adventure is anytime spent with his wife and their three children.
